Our students have many opportunities for adventure both close to home and further afield. During recent months, curriculum related adventures have included going to see the Northern Lights (Geography), visiting the World War 1 battlefields in Belgium (History) as well as kayaking in Scotland and mountain walking in Wales (BTEC Outdoor Education).

Extra-curricular adventures have included taking part in Duke of Edinburgh Award Expeditions in Scotland, Wales and the Derbyshire (Years 9 to Sixth Form); visiting Barcelona (Sixth Form) and Visiting Paris (Years 9 to 11). At the end of the Summer Term, we had an ‘Enrichment Week’ when students were able to choose to take part in a wide range of adventures including snowboarding, high ropes activities, paintballing, geocashing, raft building, climbing, horse-riding, watersports and cycling.
