On Wednesday 11th February 14 year 12 students went on a student visit day to St Catherine’s College Cambridge. St Catherine’s is the Suffolk link college and the day was organised by the schools’ liaison officer Chris Page. The college is one of the smallest of the 31 colleges at Cambridge with only 400 undergraduate students. 036The day incorporated a tour of the college, an explanation of the Cambridge University application process, and what the admissions tutors are looking for. There was also a sample maths and physics lecture, where our students were able to demonstrate their ability to link topics together. Students also were involved in an interview workshop where some of the myths and legends that exist around the Cambridge Interview process were dispelled.

It was lovely to see the excitement and enthusiasm in our students, and how inspired they were by the place.

Many thanks to Mr Allen for driving the minibus.
