The Curriculum at Bungay High School

We are justifiably proud of our curriculum at Bungay High School. It provides balance and variety and prepares students well for the next stage in their learning or their first steps in to the world of work.

Students in years 7 to 9 take a full range of subjects, in mixed ability groups (other than maths which sets year 7, and science from year 9). In the Spring Term of year 9, students take their Key Stage 4 options, which leads to Key Stage 4 courses in years 10 and 11.

A large number of our students continue into our 6th Form, where a range of ‘A’ level and Level 3 vocational courses are offered.

Senior leaders have a structured approach to curriculum design. Subject leaders plan curriculums in line with this...Teachers have strong subject knowledge. They use this to teach the ambitious curriculum well. Therefore pupils study challenging work and achieve well.
